Lovely Leandra is what her teachers call her, but Leandra is not as lovely as she seems. An orphan dropped at the school of Order of Power close to Dranau, Leandra had to learn how to be both vicious and likeable at the same time to protect herself.
With the continuous threat of Church of Essence members infiltrating the school, dangerous tests to finish to increase her standing, and her adoptive teachers trying to marry her off to some random noble to increase theirs, Leandra has become a master in not attracting attention.

Leandra always was a silent kid. She worked hard and studied harder, and by the time she was eligible to be enrolled into the school, she had already finished the full curriculum twice.
Promptly she was taught a life lesson that stuck with her. Due to her excellent performance, she pulled the attention of assassins placed in the school to get rid of any prodigy or powerful user in the making. It was only by luck that she escaped but she vowed then that she would never again stand out like this.
Unfortunately for Leandra, she turned into a stunning young woman who could not remain unnoticeable with the most powerful glamours. Thus she changed strategy and started to gain power so she could never be an easy target again.

Bored by the endless litany of Order of Power sanctioned spells and books, Leandra ventured out into the cities libraries, manipulating and paying off librarians who would not grant her access.
Her hunger for knowledge surpassed that of none and soon she was able to create her own spells by experimenting with her Gift and wild magic. Unsure of what to contribute her power to, it seems that she has found a way to control more then one Gift, without experiencing the damage herself.

Survival at all cost. That is her motivation and she is willing to go extremely far to achieve it.
Vices & Personality flaws
Leandra is vain and though she does not need to do anything to be the prettiest in the room, she goes out of her way to be it. This character trait is in direct opposite of her character and thus regularly creates awkward situations where afterwards she berates herself. But the next day, she shows up again looking like the ultimate woman.
Her vanity is at such a level that she dislikes Gniwer women just because the general perception of men is that Gniwer women tend to be the epitomy of beauty.

Hygiene is a big deal for Leandra. So much so that the first spell she invented was one where she created a thin veil that covered her body so dirt would not touch her flawless skin.
